Services and Process
I understand that beginning therapy for the first time or seeing a new practitioner can be a daunting process. Here you will find information that aims to provide some clarity around the services I can provide and the process of working together.

Additionally, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for single event traumas.

With a MHCP you will be eligible for a rebate of $92.90 per session.

Process

1
Initial contact
I believe the 'right fit' is an important factor for the success of therapy. If we have not met before, please contact me via email through the 'Contact|Book online' option at the top of the page. I will aim to get back to you within 48 hours. We can then discuss your needs through an email or a phone call in order to determine if I am the right person for you.
If you decide to proceed with therapy I will schedule in an initial session for you.
Even if you are unsure about therapy or if you have any questions - please do not hesitate to reach out.
2
Initial appointment/Beginning therapy
The first appointment is about getting to know you and what you would like to get out of therapy. This process will likely continue throughout therapy. However, it is important to have a comprehensive assessment during the first appointment so I am able to tailor the therapy according to your needs and develop an accurate treatment plan. I like to get to know your interests in order to get a better idea of you as a whole individual as opposed to just a result of your symptoms and tendencies.
If you have any questions about your treatment or therapy this is a great time to address these as I work with a collaborative approach.
3
Ongoing sessions
Typically, therapy begins on a weekly or fortnightly basis. However we will discuss the ideal timeframe considering your needs. As therapy progresses the frequency of sessions is naturally spaced out. We will continue to have conversation about session frequency as therapy progresses.
As therapy continues your needs may change, this is completely normal and we will work to incorporate this into your treatment/therapy.
